My name is Jean-Sébastien Bressy. I come from France and I have lived over 10 years in Korea.

I am a 6th Dan, instructor and referee of Taekkyon as well as a Hopaesool instructor. I also practice Ssireum and Gukgung. I have an extensive experience teaching children, adults and young adults with learning disabilities.

while learning a several century old martial art which one can practice alone without specific equipment.

Hopaesool classes

A very fun martial art and competition sport using a modern foam Hopae, the corded ID tag formerly worn by Koreans and which reminds of the nunchaku, the short stick and fencing.

This course aims at developing:

  1. Cardio
  2. Reflexes
  3. Arms and legs coordination
  4. Trajectory visualisation of a handheld object
  5. Bilateral mobilisation of muscles, joints, sinews, with a focus on the upper body
  6. Memorization of technical patterns against imaginary opponents
